Our addition is finally done! Carpet's in, paint on walls (long discussion with my better half about what shade of blue would be allowed in the room), it's really a thing of beauty. Time to get cracking!
Construction of benchwork occurs. I had a number of pieces I salvaged and saved from the old layout, including some legs for the larger sections of the layout (the 4x9 section in the corner). I decided to paint the legs as I assembled them, even though they will be in part covered by the fascia in the finished version, because painting while in place seemed difficult. Some leftover Benjamin Moore Gargoyle fit the bill nicely (a really neat color, actually, with a cool name).
